reelfoot lake fishing report

Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for:
October 10, 2009

Lake is 6 inches above pool level and water temps are 52 to 55 degree range.

   Bluegill: Slow....Slow.

Crappie: Good. The crappie bite is good with some nice slabs caught on minnows or jigs tipped with minnows in 9-10' water. The crappie are bunched up and biting good!

Bass:  Picked up. Trees, Lippy Pads, Ditches, logs and some grass lines are good. Look for shad. Some days the Bass seem to be a little more aggressive than others. Try a buzzbait or even a Strike King 1/2 oz. Premier Plus spinnerbait in Firetiger color.

Catfish: Good. The best catches are coming from  the grassy shorelines. Chicken livers, stinkbait, and nightcrawlers have been the baits of choice.

Stripes: Good. Biting from the bank out to 7' water on minnows.
