reelfoot lake fishing report

Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for:
             October 14, 2014

FALL FISHING ENJOY GREAT FISHING AND BEAUTIFUL SCENERY

Well Jack's back with another fishing report . Fishing action starting to pick up a little bit more. Water temperature is in the 70's. Lake level is 6" below pool, still in good condition for this time of year.

Crappie are still in deep water 10 to 14' deep at lower blue basin. They are being caught on jigs and minnows either on double hook crappie rigs or single jigs.

Blue gill are slow at this time.

Bass are being caught around pads, shore lines, trees on jigs, spinners, worms and buzz baits in 3 to 5' water.

Catfish are doing great. The best bait is stink bait around grass lines, trees, showing logs.

Well it just fall fishing, "some days are better than others", just slow down and fish slow. Take your time and most of all enjoy the ride. Nothing good comes easy. Have fun and be safe.
