reelfoot lake fishing report

Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for:
November 19th, 2007

Fishing reports have been hard to come by with last weekend's duck season opener and this weekend's deer rifle opener. Reports are still very sketchy. Even with duck season closed for the time being, anglers are spending their time deer hunting or getting ready for the rest of duck season.

From what we can find out, the crappie, bass and catfish are biting. That's about all we know.

The lake level is 5-6 inches below pool level. Here's the rest:

Crappie -Crappie fishing is fair to good at this time. Depths of 8 feet and deeper have been producing. They are also bringing in some jig fishing the ditches. Top colors include black/chartreuse, blue/white and any other of your favorite colors.

Bass - Bass fishing has been good fishing white/chartreuse spinnerbaits in the lily pads.

Not much else to report.

We'll post reports sporadically over the winter as they become available.
