Warm weather arrived and took command the last several days and that has
really stimulated the fish. Surface temperatures have responded to the
rapid warm-up. Black crappie are being caught on jigs tip with wax worms. The black crappie are in shallow water around pads, shore line, trees, and ditches in 2 to 4 feet of water. Catching white crappie in 10 to15 feet of water fishing slow...jigs tip with minnows. Bass are biting good in 2 to 5 feet of water around trees, ditches, pads, and stumps...jigs, spinner baits, and top water baits are working.
Blue gills are also biting good.
They are hitting jigs tip with wax worms...3 to 5 feet deep around stems,
shore lines, and trees. Trees are blooming and song birds are singing...looks like good fishing days ahead.
