     FULL MOON RETURNS…BLUEGILL SPAWN UNDERWAY  


Jackie Wayne's back with a May fishing report.
Tuesday is the first full moon of May and that will trigger active spawning phases of bluegill and some crappie.

Water temp is in the upper 70 to low 80 degree range...lake level is around pool.

  Crappie...crappie spawn is wrapping up...have about a week maybe two left. Four to six feet is the best bite...catching big males around stumps and logs.

Bass...spawn in shallow water is over...now finding fish 5 to 6 feet deep.

  Bluegill...are starting to spawn...around three feet deep on crickets.

 Catfish...is great around lower blue basin on worms.
