Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for:
May 8, 2010
                                    

   Reelfoot Lake is 10 - 12" above pool level, water temps are 72 to 74 degree range. Water color is stained to muddy  in the Upper Blue Basin and Forked Pond area. Lower Blue Basin is in good shape.

   Bluegill: Great! Some nice size bluegill are being caught on popeye jigs and wax worms fishing the trees and pads.

   Crappie: Good. A few reports that crappie are being caught back on the shallow beds. Some are being caught in 6-10' water drifting minnows. Remember, the limit is 30 Crappie per day per man. There are no size limits on Reelfoot Lake.

   Bass: Good. 2-4' deep around the shore, pads, root wads, and shallow trees.

   Catfish: Great. It's Yo-Yo time. Some fish are being caught on night crawlers ,cut shad, and hot dogs, around the grass shore. Some fish are being caught in the ditches and mouth's of ditches with current.    

Stripes: No report
