SUMMER PATTERNS UNDERWAY
Crappie...have slow down...it’s post spawn so what’s being caught
is in lower blue basin 10 to15 feet deep on minnow Riggs. June is
a good month for crappie fishing on Reelfoot Lake and
overlooked by anglers. Once the post-spawn phase is over the fish
transition back to a comfort zone somewhere between their spawning
territory and mid-summer hangouts.
Bluegill...have also slow down...fish
have left spawning beds and started to scatter...perhaps a Mayfly hatch
may soon arrive.
Folks till next time be safe and have fun
