Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for:
July 9, 2013
CRAPPIE BITE EARLY AND LATE / CATFISH BITING GOOD
Well folks it's July and fishing is slowing down. Lake
level is at pool. It's in good shape for this time of year. Water
temperature is in the low 80's. Crappie are slow at this time but you
can catch them in deep water early or late with jigs or minnows at 14
to16 feet deep. Blue gill are also slow at this time. The spawn is over,
but some bluegill are being caught in 3 to 5 feet of water. Catfish are
still doing good in Lower Basin on worms and stink bait around showing
logs and shoreline. Bass are slow also at this time. Stripes are doing
good on pin minnows at lower Blue Basin around shore lines. Look for
surface action.
Good luck, be safe and have fun. Jackie Wayne
