reelfoot lake fishing report

Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report
             August 4, 2016

HOT WEATHER IS CALLING THE SHOTS...FISHING STILL PRETTY GOOD

Jackie Wayne's Back...it's time for another fishing report on Reelfoot Lake...folks it sure is hot, but the crappie are doing good for this time of year...so don't be lazy get up early and go fishing!

Summer time = Hot weather...doesn't mean the fish quit feeding. Go early...beat the heat...catch some fish.

Water temp is in the upper 80s...Lake level is little below pool level.

Crappie are in the lower blue basin 10 to15 feet deep...bait is minnows on double hook rigs...fish slow when you catch two or three...mark that spot because they are bunched up.

 Bass...Slow

  Bluegill...Slow

Catfish are biting in about 5 feet of water...on night crawlers and stink bait in the ditches.

Report is not great...but it's better than sitting in the house...remember to take a kid...

Till next time God Bless and have fun!

Thanks Jackie Wayne!
