A group of 6 gets the Taj Mahal blind. If just 1, 2, or 3 in your group
we try to add 2 or 3, small group, to reach 5 or 6 hunters total in a
blind if possible, if not you will hunt with your group only regardless.
We do not pile hunters in the blind like other so called guides do. If
you want the whole blind for your group only and it is less than 5, say
4 people, you can pay for the remaining person and get the whole blind.
This is your hunt and we want to make it a success. We provide the best
opportunity for you to get waterfowl. Customers will do all the
shooting, period. You can also help call at the ducks or do it all. No
guide shoots here the customers kill all the ducks because we get that
many ducks. Children 11 & under hunt free, just pay for lodging. 12 to
13 children 1/2 price. 14 and older children full price. Personal check
is fine for paying the deposit.
Our blinds are located next to the Grassy Island Wildlife Refuge on
Reelfoot Lake, no other blinds are in front of you. You will have a
chance at all waterfowl entering & leaving the refuge. We are the only
blind in Black Jack Pocket and we hunt one other blind in Burnt Woods.
You will have a chance to shoot & kill all species of waterfowl except
Ocean ducks. This includes Mallards, White Front geese (Speckle
Bellies), Widgeons (baldpates), Redheads, Canvasbacks, Scaup (blue
bills), Teal, Gadwalls (gray ducks), Black Jacks (ringed necks),
Shovelers, Hooded Mergansers, & other species of puddle ducks & etc. It
is a 6 duck limit with no more than 4 mallards.
To book dates, you will need to book as soon as possible with a deposit
to hold dates and to get the dates you want, contact me by phone,
731-885-5262, or e-mail is best to confirm the dates are still open that
you want. Once booked I will hold the dates for you for 10 days giving
you time to get 1/2 of the hunt price in as a deposit to secure dates
for your group. When your deposit is received you will be officially
booked for the dates.
Remember ......You will do all the shooting with us. You will not have
to compete with the guide or extra guides that are placed in the blind
to kill your ducks. You can do all the duck calling or help call.
This is your hunt and we want to make it a success for you by giving you
the best opportunity on Reelfoot Lake to fulfill your dream. There are
cheaper hunts out there with numerous guides in the blind killing the
ducks that you are suppose to be shooting, remember you get what you pay
for.
