Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for: Lake is 6 inches above pool level and water temps are 52 to 55 degree range. Bluegill: Slow....Slow. Crappie: Good. The crappie bite is good with some nice slabs caught on minnows or jigs tipped with minnows in 9-10' water. The crappie are bunched up and biting good! Bass: Picked up. Trees, Lippy Pads, Ditches, logs and some grass lines are good. Look for shad. Some days the Bass seem to be a little more aggressive than others. Try a buzzbait or even a Strike King 1/2 oz. Premier Plus spinnerbait in Firetiger color. Catfish: Good. The best catches are coming from the grassy shorelines. Chicken livers, stinkbait, and nightcrawlers have been the baits of choice. Stripes: Good. Biting from the bank out to 7' water on minnows.
