Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for: Got a great report from Jackie today. He's been wearing them out in shallow water using small feather jigs tipped with wax worms. With the wind blowing like it is, the ditches and channels are good areas. Just use a slip bobber and cast up towards the bank into 20 inches or so of water. They've been catching almost every species imaginable (crappie, bluegill, yellow bass and largemouth). Catches of over two hundred in the last two days. Anglers have also done well with the catfish. They're using 1 1/2 to 3 inch shad as bait. Doing well around the cypress trees. In case you're wondering, you'll have to catch the shad yourself with a throw net. They ain't for sale, but most of the guides have them. Lake level has dropped a little. Still pretty high at 6 inches above pool level. Water temps range anywhere from 52-58 degrees depending on where your at. That's all for this week.
