Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for: Duck season is over and it's time to talk some fishing. Now that Jackie is back after the crappie, we'll try and keep the reports updated. The weekly report should return in the next few weeks for the 2006 season. Crappie fishing has been excellent this week. Jackie made it out yesterday and limited out with some good crappie in just a few hours, including a couple of 2+ pounders. He said the last three days have produced some great crappie action. Crappie are being caught in 7-14 feet of water and minnows are working best. They're bunched up and are hitting lightly. Work around slowly, but when you find them try to stay on them. Both mornings and afternoons have worked well for anglers lately. This winter storm that's coming through today might slow things for a bit, but you never know this time of year. So, try em if you can.
