Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for:

CRAPPIE SPAWNING / BASS, CATFISH BLUEGILL BITING GOOD
Welcome fisherman,
JACKIE WAYNE is back with another fishing report. The last few
days the weather has been constantly changing. Last week the temp was in
the 80's with water temp in the low 60's and high 70's. Crappie were
biting in 7 to 8 feet of water on minnows and jigs in lower blue basin
at the south end of the lake. Jig fishing is still on in shallow water
and on the shore line. Crappie are also doing good on minnows with
double hook rigs, fishing 1/2 m.p.h. Bass are good at this time around
the deeper trees with lizards, jigs, and spinner baits 1/4 oz. 3/8 oz.
in upper blue basin, north portion of lake. Blue Gill are starting to
bite good at shore lines, trees, and ditches with jigs tipped with wax
worms. Catfish are doing good on stink bait and night crawlers around
trees, ditches, and the showing logs. Lake level is above summer pool.
The crappie spawn is on and will last to about May 30th or the 1st week
in June due to weather. If you need me call 731-431-9700 for bookings.
