Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for:

CRAPPIE SPAWN ALMOST OVER / BLUEGILL ON BED BITING GOOD
Welcome fisherman, Jackie Wayne's back with another
fishing report. Water temperature is in the 70's. Lake level is still
above pool in good condition. Crappie spawn is just about over. The
males are still on the beds, catching some 1 1/2 to 2 pounds in 8 to 12
feet of water using Strike King tubes chart. white 1/4 oz. jig heads
trolling slow to medium speed. Blue Gill are now on beds in shallow
water 3 to 5 feet using jigs or crickets, wax worms around shore lines
or trees and stumps. Casting with floats using #6 or 8, blue gill hooks
with #4 or 5, sinkers with 380 carlie floats, all works good while
fishing beds. Catfish are being caught with worms. stink bait, and
liver, in 4 to 6 feet of water around showing logs or trees . Yellow
bass or strips are now biting in 4 to 5 feet of water using pin minnow.
Bass doing good in 3 to 6 feet of water using spinner baits, crank bait,
worms, and buzz baits around duck blinds, trees, and shoreline. June is
a time of year fishing is good but fish find can be hard to find. Call
