Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for: Reelfoot Lake is 1.5 feet above pool level. High water at the lake is creating ideal fishing conditions. Water color is good all over the lake. Surface temps this week were 80-85 degree range. Bluegill: Good: Bluegill are still being caught around bedding areas. The bite has been good around the pads and trees close to shore on crickets, jigs and wax worms. Crappie: Great!!!: The crappie are biting good all over the lake with report of several limits caught. Expect the crappie bite to hold up good throughout June as the fish are back to a normal pattern. Baits of choice have been trolling double rigs with jigs tipped with minnows in 10-12' water. Some fish are being caught jigging the shore and trees in 5-7' water. Remember, the limit is 30 Crappie per day per man. There are no size limits on Reelfoot Lake.
Bass: Good: Bass were biting good and anglers were tying into good
numbers of fish that mostly related to the shore line. Spinnerbaits,
worms and some crankbaits are working around the shore. The larger fish
are being caught on the deeper trees. Pitching and flipping a jig and
pig combo, crawfish or lizards on the trees. Stripes: Fair: Catching some while crappie fishing
