Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for: DON’T LET WARM DAYS KEEP YOU OFF THE LAKE…FISHING IS GOOD! Well Jack's back with your fishing report. Looks good for this time of year. Lake level is above pool. Water temperature is in the 80's. Crappie are being caught in 10 to14 ft. of water using double minnow rigs, jigs, tipped with minnows, or wax worms. The south end of the lake is best for crappie at this time. The North end is better for blue gill. Crickets or jig with wax worms are best in about 2 to 4 ft. of water around shore lines, Lilly pads or trees. Catfish is great because of the high water. They are being caught on worms or stink bait, ect. in 3 to 6 ft. of water around trees, shorelines, mouth of ditches. Fishing is above normal and it's great, we are not catching our limit everyday but it's better than it's been in years for this time of year. So don't just sit around get on the phone an call your guide or get your boat and come on down, but be safe and have fun. Call me at 731-431-9700 for your guide and thanks to all for making Reelfoot Lake your choice, it's means alot to us here. My way of life for over 40 years...Thanks Gone Fishing Jackie Wayne
