Reelfoot Lake Fishing Report for:
August 5, 2013
SUMMER
CRAPPIE ACTION HOLDING UP GOOD
/ CATFISH BITING GOOD
Well Jack's back, Reelfoot is back at pool level. Crappie
fishing is doing well at this time in the area of Lower Blue Basin. Best
depths are 8ft to14ft deep.
My bait tip for the month is, use live minnows tipped with "Strike King"
Tubes or Ragetails.
Bass fishing at this time is ,unfortunately, slow. Bluegill is somewhat
fair to good using crickets in shallow water.
Water temperature at this time is in the low 70's to high 80's. Catfish is
doing well with nightcrawlers, stink bait, and hot dogs. (Without bun
lol).
Reelfoot is beautiful! The Lilypads are blooming, and the eagles
offspring are feeding due to the cooler weather. Nice time for a boat
ride.
Give me a call at (731)-431-9700! Be safe! Happy Fishing!
